Volunteering is a great way to get a foot in the door at a museum. Many museums look to their volunteers when a new paid position opens up. So what better way to show off your skills than taking on a volunteer position, or several, with the Philadelphia Science Festival?
The Science Fest runs from April 18th through April 28th and there are dozens of opportunities to volunteer each day. The Festival is run by the Franklin Institute, and also partners with just about every other museum in the area. If you are in the market for a museum job, performing exceptionally well as a Science Festival volunteer could be the perfect stepping-stone for you.
