Working in the museum field comes with some fantastic “war stories.” From the outlandish to the outstanding, this feature aims to highlights unforgettable Museum Moments.
“When I was working at the Museum of Elfreth’s Alley, a group scheduled a tour for a day on which I’d be working by myself. As it turned out, the group was comprised mainly of people who were vision impaired, including several who were completely blind. We managed to get through a long, very descriptive version of the tour that included going up and down spiral staircases and traversing the uneven pavement of the historic street. Upon the tour’s completion, the group leader quipped ‘This is the best tour we’ve ever seen!'”
